When insurance adjusters are unable to access steep and high roofs, our Ladder Assist Technicians can assist them with accessing roofs for a quality inspection.

The ladder assists will allow insurance adjusters to make an accurate and fair claim settlement.

Our professional, fully trained technicians will come prepared with the tools needed to inspect any roof surface, regardless of height or pitch.

An insurance adjuster will visit your property to assess the extent of the damage. They may:

  • Take photos to prove or disprove the homeowners claim
  • Make notes of any damages found
  • Write and estimate for the damage
  • Work with contractors to reach and agreed scope of repairs

Once all relevant information has been gathered, the adjuster will compile it into a report and present it to your insurance company.

Your insurance company can then review the report and determine coverages and settlement amounts.

Appraisals

Appraiser

What is an Insurance Appraisal?

Appraisal is a provision contained in insurance policies to handle a dispute when the policyholder and insurance company do not agree on the amount of loss on a first party claim. Appraisal is typically a more cost-effective form of alternative dispute resolution.

What does an Insurance Appraisal Entail?

  • Selection of an umpire.
  • Meeting with the other appraiser at the loss location for joint inspection.
  • Negotiating with the other appraiser to reach an agreement on the "amount of loss".

When is an Insurance Appraisal Required?

Insurance Companies will often send in an insurance adjuster to document damages and calculate the cost of repairs or replacement in the event of a covered loss.  If a policy holder and insurance company do not agree on the amount of loss, either party may invoke the policy's appraisal clause and hire their own independent appraiser. If there is a disagreement, the insurance appraisers would each estimate the scope of repairs. Then, the two appraisers attempt to reach an agreement on the amount of loss in order to reach an agreement.
